: : Thanksgiving at the Thon's : :

Like I said in my last post, we got to host Thanksgiving for the 3rd year in a row.

And we loved every minute!

I didn't get to take pictures of the lovely food we had, but I have some other fun photos to share of our long weekend!

Being the crafty goddess I am {not}... lol... I had a vision of making this "thankful" banner that I have seen friends make, or on Pinterest. But I couldn't find the right supplies, so I made my own!  I bought these craft letters at Hobby Lobby, then got some scrapbook paper and mode podge and went to town!  I hot glued the twine to the back of the letters, and it turned out better than I imagined... all thanks to my sister in law for helping me all the way.  She is an amazing cutter outer and I couldn't have done it without her! :)

Not sure who to give credit to for this picture, but I thought it was too funny not to post.  As far as Turkey day, it went very well.  We ate too much of everything!

What's the result of eating too much, you ask? Well, demonstrated in the photo above this is called napping on a full stomach.  The hubs and Emma were too cute. Gotta love lazy days of family time and food!

If you were concerned about Emma being abnormally lazy... rest your eyes on this playful little bear.  Gotta love her.

As if the dog isn't spoiled enough.  This is my wonderful in-laws.. seriously I'm not just saying that they really are wonderful.  So much better than I ever imagined I could have ever been blessed with having.  They were sitting on the love seat, enjoying a book and a movie probably and Emma just jumped up right in between them and plopped down!

I really enjoy fall and the decor that goes with it, I think I especially enjoy it because we usually get to host thanksgiving.  But I do love decorating for Christmas! I just always wait until after Thanksgiving.  So, Sunday we got to re-arranging and getting things down from the attic to bust out the christmas decor!  Here is a sneak pic of what we have going on..  I hope to take a few cute pics of Emma with my big camera.

Hope your week is flying by as fast as mine is!
