Monday, it's me Cassandra

Miscellany Monday @ lowercase letters

Link up and join in!

1. Weekend of SUN and SON.  Ethan and I volunteered at Son Valley Ranch, Saturday for their work day, it's an up and coming ranch for foster kids. We really love projects and doing that kind of work, and there is nothing better than doing it for the love of Jesus and with fun friends at the same time! Hopefully there will be a video and pictures soon to come!

2. I ran seven miles Friday. I thought 6 was bad in the rain. omg. This was aweful. My entire run was not fun at all.  I don't know what it was. The weather was nice. I ran outside. and it was hard! Anyway, 8 miles this week...we will see. I wanted to share some things from Angie at thirsty hearts said.

We are running for Team Libby.  For my dear friend who has survived cancer.  Maybe to outsiders they think that we are just really "good" People.   People who like to do good things just to do good things, etc.  But I promise you, we are not, really.  At least that's not really why we are doing this.  "Because It's the right thing to do" is not what we are thinking.

We are a community.  A community of people that know that running alone is a mind game, and is exhausting, lonely, and temps the thought of quitting early.  So we run together.  That's what the Body of Christ does.  We lift each other up.  At least, that's what we are supposed to do.  Let's be the change in Jesus followers.   Because maybe a lot of people think this "above and beyond."   I do not.  I believe this is what we are called to do.  I believe we are required to love as hard as we can, and raise each other up in this life; in our highs and our lows.

So, be that change with us.

T-shirt deadline will be March 21st so that we know how many to order.  ALL proceeds go to the Ryder's.   Did you know Justin is on Young Life staff in Chesapeake?  He has to raise most of his salary.  You can also still donate, if even if you don't want a t-shirt ;)

THANK YOU.  Thank you for being the difference.  For being the person who gives because that's what people do.   We help each other.  Let's run this race together.
There is also another sweet woman who is donating 15% of all her sales HERE:  This opportunity ends March 22.  So if you hate t-shirts, but love other stuff, you'll be shopping for a cause. :)

3. Had a relaxing Sunday with Ethan and Emma.  We got a lot done around the house and were able to have dinner and hang out with some friends as well.  All in all, a great weekend.

Happy Monday!

Where did you get your training plan for running? I would like to have one. Do you like running? Have you lost weight? I have GOT to do something IMMEDIATELY to lose some weight.
