We found a day time class where they were painting this snowman.
We had such a fantastic time! Painting is truly a challenging task. We arrived about 20 minutes early to sign in, and discovered we would be the only two in the class that day. We were pleasantly surprised and even more excited!
Here I am before we started.
My cousin Crystal.
This is the blank canvas we started with.
First we painted the background black.
Then, we painted the snowman gray, outlined his hat in gray, and painted in his hat black.
The next step was to paint the snow gray.
Next, we painted the star gray, and painted the nose with orange, the scarf green/black, and the glove red.
And lastly we "stippled" around all the edges to give more of a fluffy look to it.
The only thing left now is to "stipple" the snow and sign it!
And, here are the finished masterpieces!
Not only was it a good girls day out with my beautiful cousin, but it was so much fun doing something different than we have ever done before. I already have a spot for my snowman canvas painting to hang over the fireplace! Pictures to come of this soon!
Hope everyone had a wonderful weekend and a happy Monday!
