Crete, Greece

Upon arrival in Crete we were in awe of the beauty. I absolutely love a aqua blue ocean, and let me tell you... that ocean was a beauty.

We did not choose to take an excursion at this port either because Rick Steves advised to do it yourself because the navigation and distance to places was so easy.

First stop for us was one of Greece's top museums, The Heraklion Archaeological Museum, which holds a collection of Minoan artifacts to compliment the Knossos Palace (which we did not go to).

After leaving the museum we wandered around the coast in this cute little town.  We ended up buying some paintings here.  Below are just a few of the beautiful sights in Crete.

Major photo overload from here, but it's just too beautiful not to share!
