As I sit here and type this it is storming pretty crazy here in Tennessee. We have had our share of crazy weather this week... it has been oddly warm for January going on February.
I snapped this picture with my phone the other day. It perfectly explains the past few weeks. Crazy and wet.
:: side note & disclaimer... this post will be random I am just thinking about a thousand different things right now, and I wanted to get a blog post out there while I had a split second! ::
Speaking of crazy, my week has been crazy. We are moving from the cancer center I currently work in to another new cancer center attached to the new hospital that I am employed with. On Friday we finished packing the entire center, the movers came and swept through the entire department, it seemed like a whirl wind. We unpacked some of our stuff at the new center Friday but had to go back in on Saturday to finish the job. Then today we had to go in to make sure all of our patients were in the new schedule and ready for treatment. So I feel like this weekend has been a total blur. Needless to say, this new bottle of wine I purchased this week has been a yummy treat!
Last weekend I had the privilege of having a girls night out with these lovely ladies. We had a blast in the freezing cold weather, we planned on ice skating... it was no public skate night?!.. so we tried to go line dancing... and it was closed for a private party!?... so we ended up at a dueling piano bar and had a blast. Girl time is sometimes few and far between, but when it does happen it never seems to disappoint!
I am still on Weight Watchers. We recently made the decision to purchase one of these babies. It's a Vitamix. My sister-in-law has one and they have loved it. After a while of wondering if it would be worth it we finally took the plunge. I was lucky and got to purchase a refurbished one off the website (they have the same warranty) and saved a lot with doing that. I also found a discount code for free shipping online. So, if you are reading this and are thinking about getting one, that is my advice on how to save some money when making this purchase. I have enjoyed making a smoothie every morning for breakfast this week. A lot of mornings the smoothie has just fruits and veggies in it and I have a breakfast for 0 weight watchers points AND get the majority of my fruit and veggie servings in for the day!
It is a bit more lime green than in real life, but it is green. This is one of the smoothies I made this week. All of them were yummy and they all had natural fresh or frozen ingredients in them. I was full until lunch every day, I normally eat a banana around 10 am to get me through until lunch... WELL, not this week! I also made some potato soup with it tonight! I like it a lot and glad we got it!
*fyi... Vitamix has no clue who I am and that I bought their product. I just wanted to write about how much I like it for my readers.
And in case you thought I was going to end a post without talking about these two, YOU ARE CRAZY! :) Ethan started night classes this week, so it has been a little crazy for him too. We went to dinner with some friends Friday night and decided we would leave Emma out in the house. Well, she decided to go crazy and eat some dry wall off the walls in the living room :( so... she got in BIG trouble and Ethan did a super fast and awesome job at patching that up this weekend. Hoping she doesn't do it again? Not sure why she likes the taste of dry wall?
Hoping this week starts the road back to normal life. Also, coming this week is my very first guest post from a sweet friend! We will be "blog swapping" (so to speak) for a day, so keep a look out for that!
