miscellany+monday+submerged

Link up with Carissa, her blog is amazing.

This weekend was really pretty amazing.  We hit the road Friday as soon as Ethan got home from work.  Emma was an angel.  She sat in the back seat the entire 2 hour drive.  We finally made it to Ethan's sisters house and got to spend some time with the family before we turned early because the graduation was scheduled for 10am.

The graduation was beautiful. All decked out for Christmas.  Christmas songs were sang.  Hats were thrown.  Applause was given. Smiles galore.  Pictures were taken. And lunch was eaten.  Pretty great day.

Saturday night we headed home because of the snow coming in strong.  Sunday we slept in, and enjoyed each other.  We don't get many of those days with me working the weekends.  We went to Sams Club and got some goodies and came home in time for me to get ready for work.

Monday's are usually pretty hectic. Today. i. was. submerged.  My normal weekend is Saturday and Sunday from 6am to 10:30pm.  I took off Saturday and Sunday until 2pm.  It started snowing on my way into work on Sunday.  It basically came a blizzard during those short 8 hours.  There were 100 accidents within a 20 mile radius of the hospital!  So, I started to worry and just decided to stay at the hospital for the night.  I. slept. awful. I got up at 5:30 am...my boss asked me to clock in so that I would be there until all the day shift got there.  I was happy to do that because there were more wrecks this morning than last night.  Anyway, I finally got on the road at 8:30am and headed to the other hospital that I was supposed to be at this morning at 7am doing Radiation Therapy. Finally got there around 9:30am and was able to help treat the rest of the patients.  When I got home I was way past ready for a shower and a nap!

Hope everyone's Monday was better than mine!
