Its Friday already?!

OK peeps, as I have said before... I work the weekends.  :( 
all weekend.
every weekend.
BOO.

Soo, when Friday comes around, I'm not as happy about it as most.  

But, Ethan and I have spent this week together, alone, with Emma of course, in a beautiful cabin in the tree covered, Smokey Mountains .  Before I tell you about or trip, I wanna tell you a little story!  I am the worlds worse wife when it comes to getting ready/packing/getting to the destination.  I was already stressing about packing and getting everything done on Sunday.  Of course, I am at work, Ethan is at home...trying to enjoy his weekend and help get stuff ready.  Well, I get in the car, Sunday night...headed home after work.. I turn on the radio.  Its the Christian music station... on Sunday nights they have a talk radio.  Well, the first thing I hear, is this lady saying how horrible she is when her and her husband go on trips.  Everything she said is exactly what I do! It was just a God thing that I heard that whole talk show on my way home!  I was just getting so anxious, and I didn't want to fight with Ethan on the start of our trip! Well, I really took everything in that she said, prayed about it on the way home, and just came home to do what I could Sunday night then go to bed. [I didn't stress one time that night!] Monday morning, we slept in till 9:15 ish, I woke up, started getting ready and packing stuff up, checking off my list, and going about my day like it was no big deal! Our goal was to leave by 11 am. Ethan and I ate breakfast, took care of Emma, got everything packed up and in the car...we were pulling out of the driveway at 11:05 am!! WITH NO STRESSING/FREAKING OUT/FIGHTING!! I was really proud of myself! It wasn't like I was consciously thinking about it either! I really never once felt the need to be in a big hurry! It was truly amazing, I praise the Lord for that! 

We have had such a wonderful time enjoying each other and the beautiful leaves out side our doorstep! This cabin was so awesome! It had a hot tub on the porch, that we enjoyed every evening! It had a very comfortable KING size bed! That we really enjoyed! [we have a Queen, and you would think there wasn't much difference, BUT THERE IS!]  It had a pool table, we played a  couple of games together..I realized that Ethan is an awesome pool player!? I totally stunk!  We were overly satisfied with the cabin and our quality time together!

Things we did:

• Went to the outlet mall in Pigeon Forge--two stores-- Ralph Lauren & J CREW! ahh.. it was  heaven!
• Ate at a hometown BBQ restaurant.
• Strolled the strip in Gatlinburg.
• Bought taffy and fudge at the Ole Smokey Mtn Candy Kitchen. [a ritual for us]
• Toured the Titanic museum/replica in Pigeon Forge
• Went to the Hollywood Wax Museum...took lots of goofy pictures with celeb's [pictures to follow]
• Rode the sky lift up the mountain and back down.
• Went to the Comedy Barn's show one night.
• Ate at a Brewery there in Gatlinburg. GOOD burgers and fries!
• Went to the Christmas Place..bought awesome ornaments for us and Emma!

We did just about everything we wanted to do. And had a lot of fun doing it! It was a much needed get away for us, with me being in school for the past year, we have not had a break together..alone..in a year! We are so blessed that we were able to enjoy each other this week! Helps me to remember not to take Ethan for granted!
